In the studio
The work starts with weather — a squall pushing in over the water, the ten minutes when a sunset goes from orange to red — and finishes slowly indoors, layer over layer, until the surface holds enough of it to be worth keeping.
Some pieces are built up thick with a palette knife until the paint stands off the canvas. Others are thinned right down. Both start in the same place.

Buying a piece
Every original is R7 500, shipping excluded.
- Choose a work and enter your delivery details.
- Pay R7 500 by card, Instant EFT or SnapScan through PayFast.
- RoCo emails you a courier quote to your address, usually within a day.
- Settle the courier and the painting ships, wrapped and boxed. Collecting from the studio instead costs nothing.

What you are buying
Every item listed is a single original painting by RoCo. There is only ever one of each. Prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Colours on screen may differ slightly from the painting itself.
Payment
Payment is processed by PayFast (Pty) Ltd. Card details are entered on PayFast's secure page and are never seen or stored by this site. Card, Instant EFT and SnapScan are accepted.
Delivery
The price shown covers the painting only. Shipping is for the buyer's account. After payment clears, RoCo emails a courier quote to your address, usually within one working day. Once that is settled the work is wrapped, boxed and couriered, normally within five working days. Delivery is within South Africa; contact RoCo before buying for anything international. Collection from the Swellendam studio is free by arrangement.
Returns & refunds
If a painting arrives damaged, email photographs within 48 hours of delivery and a full refund will be paid to the original payment method within 10 working days.
Under the Consumer Protection Act you may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of delivery and return the work for a refund of the purchase price. The painting must come back undamaged and in its original packaging, and return shipping is for the buyer's account.
If a work is unavailable after payment, the full amount is refunded immediately.
Privacy
Your name, email, phone number and delivery address are used only to fulfil your order. They are not sold or shared with anyone other than the courier handling your delivery.
Commission a painting
A view you love, a house you've left, a piece scaled to a specific wall. Commissions open a few times a year and are priced on size — send the dimensions and RoCo will come back with a figure.
