In the studio
The work starts with weather — a squall pushing in over the water, the ten minutes when a sunset goes from orange to red — and finishes slowly indoors, layer over layer, until the surface holds enough of it to be worth keeping.
Some pieces are built up thick with a palette knife until the paint stands off the canvas. Others are thinned right down to a line. Landscapes, abstracts and the occasional figure all come out of the same room.
Buying a piece
Originals are R7 500, shipping excluded. Mixed-media pieces are priced individually.

- RoCo emails you a courier quote within one working day.
- Settle the courier and the work is wrapped, boxed and dispatched within three working days, with a tracking number. Collecting from the studio instead costs nothing.
Commission a painting
A view you love, a house you've left, a piece scaled to a specific wall. Commissions open a few times a year and are priced on size — send the dimensions and RoCo will come back with a figure.

What you are buying
Works marked Not for sale are from RoCo's own collection and are shown for interest only; enquire if you would like something similar. Every item offered for sale is a single original work by RoCo. There is only ever one of each. Prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. Colours on screen may differ slightly from the work itself.
Payment
Payment is processed by PayFast (Pty) Ltd. Card details are entered on PayFast's secure page and are never seen or stored by this site. Card, Instant EFT and SnapScan are accepted.
Privacy
Your name, email, phone number and delivery address are used only to fulfil your order. They are not sold or shared with anyone other than the courier handling your delivery.
Delivery
The price shown covers the artwork only. Shipping is for the buyer's account.
Dispatch window. A courier quote is emailed to your delivery address within one working day of payment clearing. Once the courier cost is settled, the work is wrapped in glassine, boxed and dispatched within three working days. Delivery within South Africa then takes two to five working days depending on the destination, or up to seven working days to outlying areas. A tracking number is emailed on dispatch.
International orders. RoCo ships worldwide. Because rates, insurance and transit times vary by destination, international buyers should email roco@roco-art.co.za before purchasing for a quote. Works are shipped unframed and unstretched in a rigid tube where size allows, which keeps costs down considerably. Delivery is typically 7 to 21 working days. Any import duties, taxes or customs charges levied by the destination country are for the buyer's account and are not included in the shipping quote.
Collection. Collection from the Swellendam studio is free, by arrangement.
Returns & refunds
If a work arrives damaged, email photographs within 48 hours of delivery and a full refund will be paid to the original payment method within 10 working days.
Under the Consumer Protection Act you may cancel an online purchase within 7 days of delivery and return the work for a refund of the purchase price. The work must come back undamaged and in its original packaging, and return shipping is for the buyer's account.
If a work is unavailable after payment, the full amount is refunded immediately.
